vacature: Sales Executive Oil & Gas

Our client specializes in supplying valves to internationally operating shipping companies, shipyards, offshore companies, ship chandlers, local and foreign pipeline construction companies, maritime and offshore trading companies.

The Dutch head office organizes central sales and stock management. With strategically located offices in Portugal, Spain, Poland and the United States, a broad logistics network with their stock is created. If required, technical service teams can carry out on-site inspections, tests and repairs.

After an intensive familiarization period, you will be deployed as a sales executive in a team supporting you with your sales activities. Your duties will include:

• Translate the organizational objectives and commercial policy into a sales plan.
• Independently plan and execute complex and possibly international sales visits to a variety of strategic customers, in line with the department’s objectives of advising customers on technical maintenance, safety, repairs and related topics. In addition, stay in contact with customer through periodically Teams meetings and phone calls.
• Identifying and pro-actively following up on possible opportunities in the market for bringing in new customers and orders by (telephone) approaching and visiting potential new customers based on information and developments from the market or news items.
• Responsible monitoring of the entire sales process that starts with the quotation and ends with correct delivery in line with the agreements made with the customer.
• Entering into, maintaining and improving relationships with customers, potential customers and other relevant organizations by networking, making and keeping customer agreements, researching customer satisfaction and representing our client at trade fairs, among other things.

Candidates with the following qualifications will be considered for this important position:

• Bachelor degree in mechanical or petroleum engineering.
• 6 – 10 years of experience in a similar position and/or relevant work experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Willing to travel worldwide.
• Fluent in both Dutch and English (both spoken/written).
• MS / Office Suite (MS / Word, Excel and PowerPoint) competence.
• Self-starter who can take initiative and set own priorities to achieve overall team objectives.
• Team player and effective communicator at all levels.
